Shen Jingdong is a contemporary artist born in 1965 in Nanjing, Jiangsu Province, China. He graduated from the art class of Nanjing Xiaozhuang Normal School and the printmaking program of the Fine Arts Department of the Nanjing Arts Institute. He worked in the Frontline Literary Troupe of the Political Department of the Nanjing Military Region and now lives and works in Beijing.
His works cover a wide range of fields, including painting, sculpture and installation art, and he has held many exhibitions nationwide. His works are often humorous and satirical to express his concern and thinking about social reality, and are well received by the audience.
In addition to art creation, Shen Jingdong also actively participates in public welfare, and has donated works to charitable organizations and conducted charity auctions to contribute to society.
